A versatile guy
Born in Norway, I studied Fine Arts in Switzerland before I ended up in Paris, France where I worked as a freelance illustrator for five years. I now live in Norway and in other parts of the world, working for anyone, anywhere, thanks to email and other means of digital communication.
In September 2006 four of my illustrations
appeared in France's no. 1 newspaper, “Le Monde”.
My background as a newspaper journalist comes in handy when I'm asked
to capture the essence of an editorial assignment. I have illustrated
several books , for example the best selling “Skredfare”, which was the first
Scandinavian handbook on avalanche theory and mountain rescue. This winter my illustrations were
published in a book about first aid techniques for
freeriders, climbers and mountaineers.
As you can see in the gallery section of the website, I work in a variety of techniques and styles. This allows me to target each client's specific needs. Depending on the project, my work can be funny, conceptual, realistic, whimsical, or just plain stylish.
